Overview

The Sanctuary Golf Club, a prestigious member-owned private golf club located on Sanibel Island, FL is accepting resumes for full-time Seasonal Outside Services Professionals to work October 2026 through May 2027.

Founded in 1992, The Sanctuary and surrounding community encompass 500 acres and is the only private club in the country that lies within a U.S. Wildlife Preserve. The Sanctuary is Audubon International Certified and a five-star rated Platinum Club that has been awarded over 25 accolades from around the world including: Platinum Club of America, Platinum Club of the World - Top 100, The Club of Excellence, Exceptional status by Boardroom Distinguished and 2026 AGM Platinum Golf Shop Best of the Best distinction.

The goal of the The Sanctuary's Golf Program is to be the premier golf experience in Southwest Florida for its Members. The Club takes pride in offering unmatched service, impeccably facilitated tournaments, and a state-of-the-art instructional program.

Experience Required

• Knowledge about the game of golf and its rules.
• Previous golf club experience in a similar role preferred.
• Strong customer service skills; act courteously and respectfully to Members and Guests, coworkers, on and off the golf course.
• Positive and reliable team member who takes pride in their work and representing The Sanctuary.
• Impeccable manners and professional appearance and behavior required at all times.
• Valid Drivers License, reliable transportation and dependability required; weekends and holidays required.

Essential Responsibilities

The Outside Services Professional provides bag, golf cart and range services to Members and Guests while consistently demonstrating friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, obliging and attentive service.

• Learns Member names to ensure proper greetings and farewell, as well as to ensure correct member billing.
• Brings golf carts from cart barn to cart staging area outside Golf Pro Shop.
• Checks golf carts for tire pressure, brake operation and other safety considerations.
• Loads bags from Bag Storage Room onto golf carts.
• Transports range balls to each end of range and fills appropriate containers.
• Places baskets of balls at evenly spaced intervals on range.
• Operates tractor and ball picker on range to retrieve balls.
• Clears the Short Game green of balls and properly re-stocks each hour.
• Washes all range balls daily.
• Removes bags from golf carts and returns bags to assigned rack in Bag Storage Room.
• Returns golf carts to cart barn for cleaning and charging.
• Restocks all golf carts according to standard procedures and policies.
• Collects history of golfers and relays information to Golf Shop staff for entry into Foretees.
• Advises Pro Shop of clubs/items found on the course and destined for the lost and found.
• Cleans all clubs for Members and Guests; cleans and maintains the Club's rental equipment.
• Maintains cleanliness of and order in Bag Storage Room.
• Attends staff meetings.
• Performs other appropriate tasks as assigned by the manager or department head.
• Able to lift and move golf bags, golf ball baskets and sand buckets weighing upwards of 50 lbs.
• Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme heat; risk of electrical shock and vibration.
• Exposure to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
• Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, pulling, moving up to 50 lbs.
• Continuous standing and walking; frequent repetitive motions.
• Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position.
