Global Account Industry Consultant (Smart Manufacturing) - Automotive/EV, Battery & Tire Industry, Rockwell Automation, Inc., Mayfield Heights, OH:  

Responsible for providing consultative application support between Rockwell Automation and the Automotive/EV, Battery & Tire Global & Strategic Accounts. Apply technical skills, engineering methodologies, process knowledge and life cycle support competencies to solve customer problems and create a significant competitive advantage. Provide the technical relationship between Rockwell Automation and the Automotive/EV, Battery & Tire Global & Strategic Accounts. Have strong industry knowledge allowing for effective coordination of the combined resources of Rockwell Automation sales, support and product groups on behalf of the customers. Interact with C-suite, customer staff, and plant locations worldwide. Interact with the customers key supply chain partners (OEM’s, SI’s, etc.) worldwide. Communicate and coordinate Rockwell Automation sales, support, and business units worldwide. Work as a lead team member with the Global Account Managers and Team Leaders to co-plan and prioritize the activities which will generate the greatest value for the customers and Rockwell Automation. Conduct R&D, technical suitability, cost/performance evaluation, technical trends, and migration considerations, proof of concept, configuration testing, customer application assistance, and value proposition creation.  Responsible for development of engineering standards, methods and guidelines. Conduct and define technical requirements, beta site evaluation, BPI, communication, and business strategy reviews. Use value propositions, market intelligence or other tools that help in promoting Rockwell Automation solutions.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in electrical, electronic, mechanical, software engineering, data science or a related technical field and 10 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in the Automotive, Tire and Machine Builder Industries.

Of the required experience, must have 10 years of experience in each of the following:

• Automotive, Battery, or Tire manufacturing Processes Systems such as ERP, PLM, MES, QMS, WMS, SCADA and Network/Cyber;

• MOM, MES (FTProductionCentre, Plex system or other) use, sales, or consulting; and

• Leading technical teams developing and responsible for delivering advanced manufacturing automation or information systems & solutions globally such as MOM, MES, WMS, APS, etc.

Must have 8 years of experience with IoT Applications as well as Analytics or Optimization applications leveraging AI/ML.

Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following:

• Manufacturing Methods & Operating Principles and Standards such as TPS and Lean;

• Automation such as PLC’s, HMI, SCADA, Motion, AMR’s and associated Specification review and development;

• Safety Systems, Network Based Safety, Safety products and Safety Controllers; and

• Design, Simulation, Emulation & Virtual Commissioning software and solutions Emulate 3D, Process Simulate, Delmia, Ortems, Apriso CATIA Control Build, Robot Simulation as they pertain to the Automotive, EV, Battery, and Tire industry applications.

Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:

• Industry Technical & Operating Standards such as ISO, AIAG, NEC, NFPA, IEC, or TUV;

• Advanced Programming methods (e.g., C#, Core Java, Python, etc.), Data Science, and AI/ML;

• Program or Project management;

• PTC Thingworx and Vuforia Studio as it relates to IoT, AR/VR/xR (e.g., Visualization, training, worker guidance, etc.); and 

• Integrated Production Logistics – Concepts, Components, Fleet Management, WMS/WCS, Integration.

Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.

International travel required up to 25%; Domestic travel required up to 10%.
