Seasonal position from October thru May. The Outside Operations Attendant will provide outstanding customer service, tournament assistance, rental club, bag storage and golf cart rental procedures as well as the availability and cleanliness of rental carts, daily maintenance of the entire golf cart fleet, maintain the practice facility and any other duties as directed by the Head Golf Professional or Outside Service Manager.
Experience Required
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of and/or ability to play the game of golf and understand how job performance affects the playing conditions of the golf course.
• CPR/AED certifications required.
• Valid driver's license with clean mobile vehicle record.
• Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions; skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
• Work in a team setting, fast paced environment.
• Achieve positive guest relations and maximize guest satisfaction.
• Work effectively without constant direct supervision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Committed to working rotating shifts, weekends and holidays.
Essential Responsibilities
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
• Greet all guests including non-golfers as they walk through the staging area.
• Stage golf carts for daily play ensuring carts are properly equipped, i.e. cart Signs, tees, scorecard, club/ball cleaner filled with water, etc.
• Maintain range operation with regarding to set-up, equipment, etc.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, with continual emphasis on promoting employee health and safety.
• Assist with the loading/unloading of golf equipment to and from parking lot. Develop procedures to handle this most efficiently/safely.
• Responsible for daily upkeep and maintenance of golf carts including but not limited to cart cleanliness and detail, cart maintenance (battery maintenance, check tire pressure, etc.).
• Provide Starter assistance as needed.
• Ensure proper lock up and security of cart barn at close of evening.
• Work closely with Pro Shop staff to prepare for and conduct golf tournaments.
• Perform general cleaning tasks.
• Report all cart damage immediately to supervisor.
