Job Description

Job Title: Graduate Engineer Trainee

Location: Chennai

As a Graduate Engineer Trainee, you will contribute to the development of data‑driven FT MOM (Manufacturing Operations Management) templates and IIoT analytics solutions. You will design, testing, and deploying data‑centric and web‑based applications, contributing both to new feature development and continuous improvement. You will receive hands‑on exposure to enterprise-grade data solutions that enhance operational efficiency across industries.

You will report to the Technical Director, GCC Auto, Tire & Battery and work in a Hybrid setup in Chennai, India.

Your Responsibilities:

1] Application Development and maintenance

• Understand requirements from functional team.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in Java, Spring Boot, Angular.
• Perform unit, integration, regression, and data-quality testing whenever updates are made.
• We perform unit, integration, and regression testing as and when we make any changes to the application.
• Bug fixing for the issues that are reported in production environment.
• Suggest possible solutions to improve the application stability.
• Stay updated with new tools in data engineering, cloud, IIoT analytics and incorporate them where relevant.

2] Application documentation activities

• Prepare detailed technical design document and user manual for the applications developed.
• Prepare/Update any OEM/Third-party integration documentation as and when it happen.
• Document the issues, RCA and keep track of the solution provided.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

• Fresher with bachelor's degree in Computer science, IT, Electronics, Electrical, and Instrumentation related engineering discipline.
• Understanding of C#, Java, Spring Boot, Angular and Vaadin for both Frontend and backend development.
• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
• Familiarity with databases, web technologies, and software development lifecycle.
• Relevant Experience approaching a problem from different angles, analysing pros and cons of different solutions.
• Relevant Experience communicating updates and resolutions to customers and other partners in English.

• Express selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
